He heads the legal service of a non-bank financial institution and of a manufacturer in metallurgy and heavy engineering. He advises on distressed loans and leasing, mortgages, refinancing, assignments and security, negotiates between creditors and debtors, and defends his clients in court — from first instance to the Supreme Courts.

Clients

Sectors we know from the inside.

The law works best when the lawyer understands the client's business — its contracts, its money and its risks.

    Financial services

Banks, non-bank lenders and leasing companies — loan agreements, security, debt collection and disputes with borrowers.

  • 02

    Real estate development

Investors and builders — project finance, mortgages, construction contracts and disputes with contractors and buyers.

  • 03

    Industrial manufacturing

Manufacturers in metallurgy and heavy engineering — supply contracts, exports, receivables and ongoing legal support.

  • 04

    Foreign investment

Foreign investors — company formation and reorganisation, transactions, tax questions and disputes with counterparties.

Approach

How we handle your case.

A clear assessment at the start, a clear strategy after it, and one lawyer responsible for the matter from the first day to the last.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We review the documents and facts and establish the deadlines and risks. The first meeting is for listening and an honest view.

  2. 02

    Strategy

We propose a route with a realistic assessment — negotiation, settlement or litigation — and what each involves.

  3. 03

    Action

We draft the contracts and pleadings, negotiate, and represent you before the court, the bailiff, the tax authority or the arbitral tribunal.

  4. 04

    Control

You know every step and every deadline. We report in writing and see the work through to the end.

Alexander Tcherpokov has been part of the Interius team for more than a decade. He also works in close cooperation with the law firm Borisov & Borisov.

Questions

Before the first meeting.

01How does the first consultation work?

The first meeting is about the facts and the documents: we listen, review the contracts and correspondence, and tell you clearly what your options, deadlines and risks are. Meetings take place at the office in Sofia by appointment, or online when needed.

02How are fees set?

Fees are agreed in writing and in advance — as a fixed fee for a defined task, by the hour, or as a monthly retainer for companies. Before we start, you know what the engagement includes and what it costs.

03Do you work outside Sofia?

Yes. We represent clients before courts throughout Bulgaria — including Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas — and with partner lawyers in most regional cities we ensure a presence on the ground when it is needed.

04In which languages can we work?

Bulgarian, English and Italian. Contracts and correspondence with foreign counterparties are also prepared in English.

05Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Everything a client shares with their lawyer is protected by legal professional privilege under the Bulgarian Bar Act. The same applies to enquiries sent through this website.

06What should I bring to the meeting?

The contracts and their annexes, correspondence with the other side, any notices, demands, orders or decisions you have received, and a short timeline of events. If a deadline is running, tell us on the first call.

Consultation

Tell us about your case.

Describe the matter briefly — we will contact you to arrange a meeting. If a deadline is about to expire, call directly.
